Anjaneri Fort, set at 4,200 ft near Trimbakeshwar in Nashik, is believed to be the birthplace of Lord Hanuman. The trek climbs through forest and gentle rock slopes past the Anjani Mata temple to a wide, grassy summit with sweeping views of the Nashik valley, Brahmagiri, Trimbak and the surrounding Sahyadri range. Yes. Trimbakeshwar, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, is only about 25 minutes from the Anjaneri base village. Our itinerary includes time for an optional visit on the return leg.
