Cancellation & Refund Policy

1. Registration Policy

Full payment is required at the time of booking for all treks and events.

Your spot is confirmed only after the full amount is received. Confirmation will be sent via email or WhatsApp once payment is processed.

2. Transfer of Booking to Another Person

  • You may transfer your booking to another person if you are unable to attend.
  • Transfers are allowed up to 72 hours before the event start time.
  • Free of cost — no additional charges.
  • You must provide the name and contact details of the replacement participant in writing via email or WhatsApp.
  • No transfers accepted within 72 hours of the event start time.

3. Change of Date

  • You may shift your booking to a future date of the same event, free of cost.
  • Request must be made at least 72 hours before the event start time.
  • Strictly subject to availability in the next scheduled batch.
  • Date changes are not allowed within 72 hours of the event start time.

Refunds are processed within 7–10 working days to the original payment method. No refund for no-shows, late arrivals, or incomplete participation.

5. Partial Cancellation in Group Bookings

If a group discount was applied based on group size and some members cancel, the discount will no longer apply. The remaining participants must pay the price difference between the discounted and actual price.

All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing via email or WhatsApp. Phone calls alone will not be treated as formal cancellation requests.

6. Event Cancellation by Mumbai Weekenders

In the rare event that Mumbai Weekenders cancels or reschedules a trip due to weather, permit issues, or unforeseen circumstances, you will be offered one of the following:

  • A full refund of the amount paid, or
  • A credit note redeemable for any future event of the same value.

7. Force Majeure

Your safety is our top priority. In situations beyond our control — natural disasters, health emergencies, government restrictions, civil unrest, or any event of force majeure — Mumbai Weekenders reserves the right to postpone or reschedule a trip.

In such cases, if you choose not to continue with the rescheduled trip:

  • A full refund may not be possible, as many arrangements (permits, transport, accommodations) would already be in place.
  • You will be offered the next available departure of the same trip.
  • If the rescheduled trip costs more, the difference must be paid before departure. If it costs less, the balance will be held as a credit for future bookings.
  • Credit notes are non-transferable and valid for 12 months from the date of issue.

8. Health & Fitness Responsibility

By booking a trip with Mumbai Weekenders, you confirm that you are physically and mentally fit to participate in the chosen activity. Trekking and outdoor activities carry inherent risks.

  • Carry any necessary medication along with a valid doctor's prescription.
  • If a participant is found unfit to travel or their condition affects the group's safety or experience, Mumbai Weekenders reserves the right to deny participation or discontinue the guest from the trip.
  • In case of a health incident during the trip, local medical assistance will be arranged at the participant's own expense.
  • No refund will be provided if a participant is discontinued due to health or fitness reasons.
