Gokarna Murudeshwar Trip
Overview
This is the long-weekend escape south of Goa: leave Mumbai by overnight bus and wake up on the Karnataka coast. Gokarna's OM Beach and Kudle are quieter and more spiritual than their Goan neighbours - still fishing villages with temple town calm. Then we move north to Murudeshwar, where a 123-foot Shiva statue stands against the Arabian Sea and you can climb the temple tower for the view. Easy days, long beaches, two iconic shrines, and a route that most Mumbai travellers only attempt on their own. We handle the buses, stays and transfers so you just travel.
Based in Uttara Kannada, this easy 4-day trek is best attempted during October, November, December, January, February, March — when the trail and surroundings are at their most rewarding.
