Revdanda Beach Camping

4.6 (48 reviews)

Overview

Revdanda sits on the same Raigad coast as Alibaug but sees a fraction of the crowd, which is exactly why it makes one of the easiest overnight beach trips from Mumbai. The campsite opens straight onto a wide sandy beach, while just inland the Revdanda (Chaul) fort still guards its Portuguese-era ramparts and a tidal creek where the water turns mirror-flat at dawn. This is a slow trip: tent by the shore, a bonfire once it's dark, a short walk to the fort ruins and the Korlai lighthouse, and a swim when the tide is right. We handle the tents, the meals and the transfers from Mumbai so you just turn up with a change of clothes and a torch.

Based in Raigad, this easy 2-day trek is best attempted during October, November, December, January, February, March — when the trail and surroundings are at their most rewarding.
