Olive Ridley turtles are classified as “Vulnerable” by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) due to threats like poaching, habitat destruction, accidental capture in fishing nets, and climate change impacting their nesting sites. Recently many olive ridely turtles were found dead on tamilnadu coast and goverment are implementing a strict measure to prevent these deaths.
